Feedback straight to your board. Automatically create Monday.com items when feedback is submitted. Select which board to use, with rich descriptions that include all the context your team needs.

Note: On Quackback Cloud, integrations are available on the Business and Enterprise plans. Self-hosted installs include every integration.

Overview

The Monday.com integration enables:

  • Create items from feedback: automatically create a Monday.com item when new feedback is submitted
  • Board integration: select which board to create items in, with rich descriptions

Note: The Monday.com integration creates items only. Status changes aren't synced in either direction.

Prerequisites

  • The Owner or Admin role in Quackback (or a custom role that can manage integrations)
  • A Monday.com account with admin access
  • Self-hosted only: a Monday.com app (created at Monday Developer Portal)

Self-hosted: create your Monday.com app

Note: On Quackback Cloud, skip this section. Quackback provides the Monday.com app for you, so you go straight to connecting.

Self-hosted instances connect through an app you create. Do this once before you connect.

Create a Monday.com app

  1. Go to the Monday Developer Portal
  2. Create a new app
  3. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret

Save the app credentials in Quackback

  1. Go to Admin > Settings > Integrations > Monday.com
  2. Enter the following credentials:

    • Client ID from your Monday.com app
    • Client Secret from your Monday.com app

Setup

1. Connect your workspace

  1. Go to Admin > Settings > Integrations > Monday.com
  2. Click Connect Monday.com
  3. You'll be redirected to Monday.com to authorize the application
  4. Review the permissions and click Authorize

2. Select a board

Back in Quackback:

  1. Choose the Monday.com board where items should be created
  2. Items will be created on this board when new feedback is submitted

3. Test

Settings save as you change them, so there's no Save button.

  1. Submit test feedback to verify an item is created in Monday.com

Item format

When feedback triggers item creation, the Monday.com item includes:

  • Item name: The feedback post title
  • Update (comment): The post content with feedback details, author info, and a link back to the post in Quackback

On post delete

When you delete a feedback post with a linked Monday.com item, the delete dialog shows a checkbox for each linked item. A checked item is added to the integration's Sync history for review. Quackback doesn't archive it for you: open it in Monday.com and archive it there.

To pre-check this by default, enable the On post delete toggle in the Monday.com integration settings. You can always override the default per delete.

Manage the integration

Pause

Temporarily stop the integration:

  1. Go to Admin > Settings > Integrations > Monday.com
  2. Turn off Integration enabled
  3. Item creation pauses, but the connection remains

Reconnect

If the connection breaks, disconnect and connect again:

  1. Click Disconnect and confirm
  2. Click Connect Monday.com and authorize the app again
  3. Choose the board again

Disconnect

To fully remove the integration:

  1. Go to Admin > Settings > Integrations > Monday.com
  2. Click Disconnect
  3. Confirm the action

Who is shown as the creator?

Quackback creates items in Monday.com as the account that connected the integration, so Monday.com shows that person as the creator. To change the creator (for example, to a shared bot account), disconnect, sign in to Monday.com as the other account, and connect again.

Troubleshooting

Items not being created

  1. Check integration status: look for errors in settings
  2. Verify board selection: ensure a Monday.com board is selected
  3. Check permissions: the connected account needs write access to the board

Connection errors

If Monday.com access stops working, disconnect the integration, then connect Monday.com again and choose the board.
