Quackback Cloud plans

Quackback Cloud is the hosted edition of Quackback. This article explains the four Cloud plans, how seats work, what AI usage means, and where to manage your plan.

Quackback comes in two editions:

• Quackback Cloud: hosted for you, with four plans (Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise).
• Quackback open source: run it yourself on your own servers. Every feature is included with no plan limits. See Self-host Quackback.

The product is the same in both. Cloud adds managed setup, upgrades, and billing, a default subdomain with HTTPS, and custom domains from the Pro plan.

Plans

Each plan is a flat workspace price, not a per-seat price. Annual billing saves $96 a year on Pro, $192 on Business, and $360 on Enterprise.

Free includes 1 seat, 1 board, and 50 posts. Paid plans include unlimited boards and posts. Custom domains start at Pro. Integrations start at Business. Single sign-on and the audit log are on Enterprise.

Seats

Each plan includes a number of seats, and you invite teammates into those seats.

• Every teammate uses one seat, whatever their role (Owner, Admin, Manager, Contributor, or a custom role).
• A pending team invite holds a seat until it is accepted, cancelled, or expires.
• Portal users (your customers) never use a seat. Portal invites are free and unlimited.
• Free includes 1 seat, Pro 5, Business 20, and Enterprise is unlimited.

When every seat is in use, upgrade the plan to invite more people. You cannot buy extra seats on the same plan. Removing a teammate frees a seat, but it does not change what you pay.

Tip: An invite needs an open seat. If every seat is in use, upgrade from Admin > Settings > Plan & billing.

Trials

When you create a workspace and pick a paid plan, you get a 14-day trial of that plan. A workspace on Free also gets a 14-day Pro trial (5 seats) once you start using it. During a trial, your seats follow the plan you are trialing. When the trial ends, the workspace returns to Free unless you subscribe.

AI usage

Every plan includes Quackback AI usage: Basic on Free, Standard on Pro, 5x Standard on Business, and 20x Standard on Enterprise. Free includes Copilot drafts for your team. The AI agent that answers your customers, and AI insights, start at Pro. See What's included on each plan. Included AI usage resets every month. When it runs out, Quackback AI pauses until the next month, and you can upgrade for more.

Each plan's AI usage is metered, and the usage meter is on the Plan & billing page. There is no per-resolution fee and no separate AI add-on.

Each plan also includes emails per month: 500 on Free, 10,000 on Pro, 25,000 on Business, and 50,000 on Enterprise, with more on request. Only changelog and status page emails count toward this allowance. Sign-in, security, invitation, and support emails don't.

Manage your plan

Open Admin > Settings > Plan & billing to:

• See your current plan, its status, and when it renews
• Read the seats meter (members, pending invites, and available seats)
• Read the usage meters for AI, emails, and API requests
• Compare Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise
• Upgrade now, start a trial, or schedule a downgrade for the end of the billing period
• Add the Remove Quackback branding add-on, which hides "Powered by Quackback" on your portal, widget, and emails
• See previous invoices

Note: Changing the plan and starting a trial need billing permission. Owners have it by default, and you can give it to a custom role.
