Managed Cloud
Run Quackback on managed hosting with per-seat plans and included AI usage.
Skip the servers. Quackback Cloud is the hosted edition of the same product, with plans, seats, and usage meters built in.
Quackback comes in two editions:
- Quackback OSS - fully open-source under AGPL. Run it yourself on any Docker-capable infrastructure. Every feature is included with no limits.
- Quackback Cloud - managed hosting on our infrastructure with four plans: Free, Growth, Pro, and Scale.
The product code is the same. Cloud adds:
- Managed provisioning, billing, and upgrades
- Per-tenant isolation on shared Postgres clusters
- Per-tenant Let's Encrypt certificates and a default subdomain
- Custom-domain support on Growth and above

Annual billing is two months free versus monthly.
Free includes 1 seat, 2 boards, and 50 posts. Paid plans include unlimited boards and posts. Custom domains start at Growth. SSO and the audit log are on Scale.
Seats
Cloud bills per seat. You buy seats, then invite people into them.
- Every admin-side teammate (Admin or Member) uses one purchased seat. Admins and members cost the same.
- Portal invites for end users are free and unlimited.
- Free includes 1 seat. The second team invite is blocked until you upgrade.
- A pending team invite holds a seat until it is accepted, cancelled, or expires.
Seats change only when you buy more or schedule a decrease. Removing a member frees a seat in the meter. Your paid quantity stays until you click Remove seats.
Tip: An invite needs an open seat. If every seat is in use, click Add a seat on the invite dialog, or upgrade from Free.
Trials and complimentary grants have uncapped seats. After a trial, checkout defaults the quantity to how many seats you already use.
AI usage
All AI features (assistant, drafts, insights, Copilot conversations) ship on every paid plan. Plans differ by monthly allowance, not by which features you get.
When the included allowance runs out, buy a $10 top-up pack. Extra credit carries over month to month until you use it. Included usage is always consumed first.
There is no per-outcome fee and no Copilot add-on.

Plans & billing
Open Admin → Settings → Plans & billing to:
- See your current plan, renewal date, and per-seat price
- Read the seats meter (members, pending invites, available seats)
- Read usage meters for AI (in dollars), emails, and API requests
- Compare Free, Growth, Pro, and Scale
- Buy seats immediately, or schedule a seat decrease at period end
- Top up AI ($10 pack) or email ($10 per 10,000 emails)
A Remove Quackback branding add-on ($59/mo, or $590/yr) appears on the page. It is display-only until you can buy it.
Existing paid workspaces
If you already pay a flat per-workspace price, you keep that price and uncapped seats until you change plan. Changing plan moves you onto per-seat billing with quantity set to the seats you currently use.
