Configure admin notifications
Use the admin notifications inbox, see every feedback, support and changelog notification type, and choose in-app and email delivery per type in Settings > Notifications.
Stay on top of the activity that matters to you: comments on posts you follow, status changes, conversations assigned to you, and more. This article covers the notifications inbox and how to choose which notifications you get in the app and by email.
The notifications inbox
Open Admin > Notifications from the sidebar. The header shows your total and unread counts, and a Mark all as read button.
Each notification shows:
- An icon for the type of activity
- The post, conversation, or ticket it relates to
- Who triggered it
- When it happened
- Whether you've read it
Click a notification to open the related item and mark the notification as read. Click Mark all as read to clear every unread indicator at once.
Notifications arrive in real time, and the unread count in the sidebar updates automatically.

Notifications are grouped into Feedback, Support, and Changelog.

Choose how you're notified
Each person sets their own preferences. Go to Admin > Settings > Notifications.
- Pick a group: Feedback, Support, or Changelog.
- For each notification type, turn In-app and Email on or off.
- Changes save as soon as you flip a switch.
To stop all notification emails at once, turn on Pause all email. In-app notifications keep working.
Follow posts
You automatically follow:
- Posts you created
- Posts you voted on
- Posts you commented on
- Posts you subscribed to yourself
To follow a post, open it and click Subscribe (the bell icon). To stop, open the post and click Unsubscribe.
Tip: Subscribe to high-priority posts so you never miss a customer reply on them, and unsubscribe from posts once they're resolved.
How notifications behave
- No duplicates: you get one notification per event, even if you follow a post for several reasons (for example, you created it and commented on it).
- No self-notifications: you aren't notified about your own actions, such as your own comments or status changes.
- Personal: you only see notifications for things you follow or that involve you.
All team members have a notifications inbox, whatever their role.
