Hi , I came across Quackback recently and like what you're building — the self-hosting and MCP angles especially. One thing I wanted to flag, since it's the kind of thing you only hear if someone bothers to tell you: the name reads very differently in Dutch. The issue is that both halves of the word are Dutch, and neither lands where you'd want. Kwak. Phonetically identical to "quack". In ordinary use it means a dollop or splat of something thick — een kwak mayonaise — and the verb kwakken means to dump something down carelessly. In informal use, however, een kwak or kwakje is common slang for semen, and kwakken is used as the matching verb. That second meaning is well known across the Netherlands and Belgium. Back. This splits two ways. Read as Dutch terug, "kwak terug" means to splat or dump something back at someone — not an ideal image for a tool whose job is handling user feedback. Read phonetically, "back" is near-indistinguishable from bek, the Dutch word for an animal's snout, and coarse when applied to a person (*hou je bek* is roughly "shut your gob"). Put together, "kwak-bek" produces a crude compound that most Dutch and Flemish speakers will land on immediately. It's not a subtle association, and it tends to arrive before the duck does. The practical effect isn't that people complain — it's that they don't. Someone evaluating tools won't put a name they'd have to say out loud in a meeting on the shortlist, and you'd never see the reason in your funnel. In English the name works fine, so I understand entirely how this wouldn't have come up. But if a rename is ever under consideration, it's cheaper now than after another year of SEO and stars — and if not, it's at least worth knowing before you localise into Dutch.
