Finish setup with the launch checklist
Use the Getting started card on your admin home to finish setting up a new workspace: which steps appear, how they complete on their own, and how to skip one.
The Getting started card on your admin home tells you exactly what's left to set up a new workspace. This article explains which steps it shows, how they complete, and how to skip one.
Where to find it
Open the admin dashboard home page. The Getting started card sits at the top, with a progress bar showing how much of setup is complete. It works through your steps one at a time: the current step shows a short explanation and a Start button that takes you to the right page.
The card disappears once every step is done or skipped.
Which steps you see
The steps follow the modules you have turned on in Admin > Settings > General. Turn on a module and its step joins the list.
Step | Shown when | Completes when |
|---|---|---|
Create a feedback board | Always | You have at least one board |
Share your feedback board | You have a public board | You copy the board link, the widget is found on your site, or you receive your first customer post or vote |
Publish your first update | The Changelog module is on | You publish a changelog entry |
Connect Messenger | The Support module is on | The widget loads on your site with Messenger enabled |
Set up Quinn | The Support module is on and Quinn is available | Quinn is on and set to answer customers |
Write your first article | The Help Center module is on | You have a help center article |
Add a service | The Status module is on | Your status page has its first service |
Steps complete on their own when the thing they describe happens. There's nothing to tick off by hand.
Skip a step
Not every step applies to you right now. Click Skip on the current step to move past it. Skipped steps no longer count toward your progress.
When a step is blocked
A step can't be started when:
- Its module is off. Ask a workspace admin to turn the module on in Admin > Settings > General.
- You've reached your plan's board limit. Remove a board or upgrade your plan.
- You don't have permission. Ask a workspace admin to complete the step.
